Where to stay and where to eat in Linn County?

The answer to that question is another: What’s your pleasure?

Scattered throughout our communities are overnight opportunities ranging from comfortable hotels to wilderness camping. In between are conveniently located motels, bed and breakfasts, and a score of campgrounds, both public and private.

Hotels and Motels – Albany is the center of the hotel industry for Linn County, with nearly a dozen hotels and motels representing some of the best of the hospitality chains. The really good news is that if you’re not into roughing it, Albany is only a half hour’s drive from the lakes and mountains in east Linn County, so you can have your beauty sleep and still spend a lot of time in the outdoors.  All of Linn County’s cities also have comfortable, quality motels, where you can stay close to the outdoors activities or family event you came to enjoy.

Bed and Breakfast Inns – Quality bed and breakfasts are located in Albany, Lebanon, Brownsville, Sweet Home and the Harrisburg area.

Campgrounds – Whether you have a 30-foot RV or a tent, we’ve got a great spot for you to enjoy the great outdoors in a mountain, riverside or lakeside setting – or just surrounded by those fields of grass for as far as the eye can see. Lakeside and riverside camping is also available in both private RV parks and public campgrounds. For much more detail on camping opportunities, visit our Camping page.

Cuisine ranges from home-grown family restaurants that serve up incredible biscuits and gravy to the multi-award-winning Sybaris restaurant in Albany – everything from the Gingerbread House in Mehama to Air Thai in Lebanon or the period A&W in Sweet Home in which customer still order their meals over black 1960s-vintage phones. In short, we’ve got something for anyone’s palate, and these are just the tip of the iceberg.
